I recently had the huge pleasure to meet the creative director, Isabelle Bordji who is behind the iconic French brand, Maison Ernest since 2012. The maison was first launched in 1904 and their boutique is still placed in front of the legendary Moulin Rouge. If you follow my blog since the beginning you know I am mad about shoes and collect few special pieces whenever I get the chance. Their designs are absolutely beautiful and elegant, they offer a wide range of styles. In my case the pick was pretty obvious and easy, I went for the sexiest burgundy suede over the knee boots. Nothing sexier to be more precise… They are also very comfortable considering their 12cm heel.
I never get tired of mixing burgundy tones, especially for the cold season. There is a certain elegance about this color, it is not called “bordeaux” for nothing. It is not the most vivid color, but it brings a very nice shade in case you like wearing dark colors. My Kenzo denim jacket has a lot of burgundy accents and the grey fur accentuates that in such a chic manner. My favorite thing about this outfit is the mix of textures, from the felt hat to the embroidered bag. But I let you decide what you like/dislike the most about this look.
