Gingham is cute by definition, so whenever wearing gingham prints I think: “I must look cute as well”…This vintage Austrian maxi is one of the loveliest dresses, from the puffy shoulders, the fact that it is buttoned all the way up in the same fabric, the little embroidered patches on the top and the bow belt. I wanted to show you two ways I wore it in the same day, last summer, while shooting the lavender campaign in the South of France. I wanted to style it in a third way, but I will definitely do that once the weather will be friendly enough again.

Look 2:

VINTAGE dress

BIANCA MAKRIS necklace

AVEC MODERATION feathers slides

Both of the looks that I styled are very romantic, focusing on statement accessories around the dress. In the first one that we shot in St Remy de Provence, the headpiece and the arty wedge sandals are so surprising, so is the wooden bag.

The second look is again quite unusual, the feather slides immediately changed the vintage style of the dress, bringing it into our modern times. Same thing with the beaded necklace, a timeless piece adapted to the fashion of our days. That is why I call it #modernvintage.
